- Provides media relations and public information services, including publications and other informational/educational materials.
- Coordinates ODA's website, and provides assistance to agency staff on Web and social media-related issues.

Bruce manages the Information Office and serves as the department's public information officer. Bruce responds to media requests, produces department news releases and stories, and manages the ODA Twitter account. He represents ODA on the state Council of Communications Officers and is on the executive board of the Communications Officers of State Departments of Agriculture (COSDA).
